Performance Auto Group has presented the International Women’s Day (IWD) Award at the 16th Annual IWD Luncheon sponsored and co-presented by Performance Acura in St. Catharines.
The event was held at the prestigious Club Roma on March 3, 2017, and was attended by over 700 people. Performance Auto Group Treasurer May Allison handed out the IWD Award to Rosemary Hale, Brock University’s first female Dean. On stage, May spoke towards the crucial contributions made by working women in all aspects of society, and lauded Rosemary for her achievements as an accomplished author and passionate advocate for the arts in Niagara.
Performance Acura General Manager Kem Chowbay also attended the event, and said he was very proud to have sponsored the luncheon. “Both Performance Acura and Performance Auto Group believe in the empowerment of women at every level, and have always actively hired women for every job role. At Performance Acura, women occupy numerous management and technical positions, and are an integral part of our team. Therefore, we are very happy to have sponsored and presented this year’s IWD Luncheon, and are proud at celebrating the significant achievements of women in our society,” said Kem.
The luncheon was attended by professionals and executives from across Niagara, and featured talks by some of the region’s most successful women. It also featured a silent auction, multiple giveaways, and numerous activities to entertain and engage participants.
